Works where your code lives
Start in a project folder and let Rekdan read the files, patterns, and context that actually matter.
Rekdan Code · terminal agent
Rekdan Code reads your project, explains unfamiliar code, makes the change, and runs the checks — with you in control of every important step.
A better place to code with AI
The fastest way to explain a codebase is to let the agent see the codebase. Rekdan Code lives beside your files, so you can spend less time preparing context and more time shipping.
Start in a project folder and let Rekdan read the files, patterns, and context that actually matter.
Ask for a feature, a fix, or an explanation. Rekdan can inspect files, edit them, and run the checks afterward.
Read-only work is instant. Changes and commands ask first, so automation never means giving up the final say.
From account to first task
There is no SDK to configure, no API key to paste, and no new editor to learn.
Rekdan Code runs on Node.js 18+ and works in the terminal you already use.
$ npm install -g rekdanRun login, approve the short code in your browser, then return to the terminal. No API key.
$ rekdan loginMove into a project folder, launch Rekdan, and describe what you want to build in plain language.
$ cd my-project && rekdanMore than autocomplete
Ask for the outcome. Rekdan handles the careful middle: finding the right files, making a coherent change, and checking what it did.
Ask where authentication lives, how a request flows, or which files own a feature. Rekdan searches and reads the project before it suggests a path forward.
Describe the outcome. Rekdan can work across the files needed to make it happen, showing each proposed change before it lands.
Tests, builds, formatters, and scripts run from your project directory after you approve them.
See a clear diff before edits land, and approve commands before they run.
Control is a feature
Rekdan Code is designed for real repositories, where a helpful suggestion is only useful if you can understand, approve, and verify the change.

Next run `rekdan login`, open the verification link, and approve the code in your browser. Finally run `cd my-project && rekdan` from your project folder. You can then describe your task in plain language.
Start Rekdan from your project folder. It reads the relevant files and structure first, then helps you make a focused change without copying your code into a chat.
