Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide: your name, email address, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash), profile information, chat prompts and responses, files you upload, saved-memory items, and support communications. We also create account, session, verification, password-reset, subscription, usage, and security records. Our hosting providers may process technical information such as IP address, request metadata, device or browser information, and service logs when you use Rekdan.

We do not collect payment-card numbers. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms.

We use information to operate and secure Rekdan; create and administer accounts; authenticate users; send verification and password-reset emails; provide chat, file, and memory features; calculate and enforce plan limits; process subscriptions; prevent fraud and abuse; respond to requests; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, rent chat content, or use it for targeted advertising.

When you submit a chat request, the request, relevant conversation context, selected files, and any profile or memory context needed for the requested feature are sent to the configured AI provider through OpenRouter to generate a response. Do not submit information that you are not authorized to share, or information subject to heightened confidentiality obligations, unless you have independently confirmed that use of Rekdan is appropriate for that information.

We use Render to host the service and PostgreSQL database, Resend to deliver transactional email, Stripe to process subscriptions, and OpenRouter and its selected model providers to generate AI responses. We disclose information to these providers only to operate the service and subject to their applicable terms and data-processing practices. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights, safety, and security, or in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not disclose it to data brokers or advertisers.

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or additional safeguards, we will use an appropriate mechanism before making the transfer.

Chats remain until you delete them or delete your account. Files expire according to the retention schedule published on the Data Retention page, unless removed sooner. Long-term saved memories remain until you remove them or delete your account; temporary memories expire automatically. Account deletion removes Rekdan-held account data, chats, files, memories, sessions, and application billing records, subject to limited retention required by law, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or protection of our legal rights. Stripe retains payment records under its own policies.

You can update your profile, delete chats and files, manage memories, change your password, and delete your account in the service. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. We may request information needed to verify a request and will respond as required by applicable law. You may also have a right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Rekdan uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and local browser storage for interface preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral analytics in the application.

We use measures designed to protect information, including HTTPS in production, access controls, password hashing, authenticated sessions, and restricted access to service data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Rekdan is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Policy when our practices or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
